October ’14 Minutes

October 6th, 2014 Meeting:

Thank you for coming out to our general meeting this monday. If you were unable to attend, the following is what we discussed:

– Krispy Kreme fundraiser (was) held on October 8th
** Thank you to all who participated and helped sell. We sold 300 donuts and made $228.
-Car wash tickets are due no later than this friday. Please contact Jasmine at (323) 399-9429 for those of you who have tickets and didn’t make it to meeting on Monday.
– We have clinic this week and a separate email will be sent with further instructions on Saturdays clinic.
– Clinic reminder: need for members to stay in their stations in order to keep clinic running smoothly. From now on we would like for members to take turns breaking each other for a quick lunch and getting back to work so that interpreters are not lost throughout the day as it has happened in the past.
If there are any questions please let us know.

Public Health
Public health is having a food drive and asks for all members to donate food that will be given to the patients for the November clinic. The public health team is asking only for 3 things to give to each family: canned beans, canned vegetables ( low in salt), and a bag of brown rice. Members can bring the food to the next general meeting on November 3rd or drop the food off at Jonah’s apartment at 5710 Hardy Avenue, Apartment 6 (apartment right next to sig ep on campus.) Or if going to a grocery store is inconvenient we hope that you can donate a small amount and write a note that you would like the $ to go to the November food drive on the go fund me account at http://www.gofundme.com/fd2urk .  We strongly suggest that everyone donates! Thanks!
